South Bristol Liveable Neighbourhoods Engagement
What we are proposing
Liveable neighbourhoods make places safer for people, reduce noise and air pollution, encourage exercise, reduce loneliness, and make life better overall. We would like to get your opinions on what is already working well for your neighbourhood, and what you would like to see improved.
Improvements can include simple things like more trees, benches and places for people to meet, or more complex things like changing how traffic moves through the area.
Have your say
From 11 July to 13 October 2024 we gathered feedback on the issues that currently affect streets within the South Bristol Liveable Neighbourhoods area. We created an interactive map for members of the public to provide feedback. You can view the map and the comments here.
Improvements toolkit
When reporting issues on the interactive map and survey you will be encouraged to suggest potential improvements.
To help with this, we have already developed a range of possible improvements. They have been given indicative ratings by Bristol City Council's Strategic City Transport team.
Click on each link to find out more about the improvements:
Priority access to walking, cycling and public transport: modal filters, diagonal filters, bus gates, one-ways and no-entries
School streets (temporary restrictions on motor traffic at school drop-off and pick-up times)
Managing on-street car parking (local measures to manage unsafe parking or area-wide solutions such as match-day parking and residents’ parking schemes)
Change parking / road space to green and social areas: parklets and pocket parks
