In Bristol we have a safe, inclusive and effective smoking cessation service. The service works with specific communities in Bristol to help them stop smoking. The service is considered a ‘targeted’ service because it prioritises working with people from communities that are at the highest risk of harm from smoking.

These priority communities are:

  • Pregnant women and their families
  • Families with very young preschool children
  • People who have long term illnesses that are made worse by smoking i.e. lung problems
  • People from specific areas of Bristol that we know have a large amount of people smoking
  • People from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities who are currently under-represented in our service
We would like to find out how best to reach these priority communities. Please let us know how we can do so by responding to this survey.
