Let's talk about Sexual Health
This survey has now concluded. Updates on next steps can be found at the bottom of this page.
What is this survey for and why are we asking about sexual health?
As part of our duty to ensure that we commission (plan, buy and monitor) services that meet the ongoing needs of our population, the Local Authorities and the Clinical Commissioning Group in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire need to plan what sexual health services should look like in the future. We are asking as many people as possible to give us their opinions by completing this survey because we need to know what people like about the sexual health services we currently have in place and what we might need to change to make them better for everyone.
We currently provide free and confidential sexual health services across Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire that include all types of contraception, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STI), abortion care and HIV prevention. These services are available from a GP, pharmacy or a specialist NHS clinic.
Important note:
There are other types of sexual health services, e.g. psychosexual counselling, support after sexual assault, and treatment for people living with HIV, but they are not included in this survey. This is because other organisations are responsible for these services and have asked about them in other surveys.
